Sodexo Energy and Resource is seeking an Operations Compliance Coordinator for an Oil &Gas client in Houston, TX. The purpose of this role is to own the responsibility to execute all Compliance and Regulatory activities as required by Client and/or Authorities Having Jurisdiction (Au’s) for all designated buildings/facilities/operations within a designated client portfolio and/or segment designated portfolio of sites.

Execute activities related to either compliance and/or regulatory requirements within designated buildings/facilities/operations.

Consult with Client/AHJ/Sr. Manager Compliance on compliance requirements for designated building/facility/operation.
Assist with periodic review of Client/Portfolio compliance and regulatory procedures and policies that are completed and reflect current requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, communicate, mitigate, and control hazards associated with work that has the potential to adversely impact workforce safety and health.
  • Provide and assign the appropriate level of oversight, including frequency of revalidation, for all work taking place in their designated area of responsibility.
  • Conduct pre-job brief and communicate the scope of work and hazard analysis to persons performing work.
  • Review the work plans, hazard analysis, and associated work authorizations, and when applicable, isolation certificates for SIMOPs conflicts.
  • Conduct the site hazard assessment and approve the work authorization after verification that all conditions have been met and identified controls are in place and functioning.
  • Identifying and submitting lessons learned.
  • Other responsibilities as identified in Control of Work Standards and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • When not performing in the permit approver or holder roles, will support other tasks and projects as assigned, including permit office administration, leading contractor training and induction sessions and related administration, and worksite management.
  • Is knowledgeable of work tasks associated with commercial building construction and renovation, and the relevant regulatory, Chevron, and Sodexo requirements.

Training and Competency Requirements:

  • Successful completion of Permit Approver and Permit Holder training.
  • Successful completion of ePermit to Work training.
  • Demonstrate fluent competency in Work Authorization/Permit to Work, Hazard Analysis requirements, Start Work Checks, and Control of Work standards appropriate to the work.
  • Have completed the Sodexo Safety Induction requirements.
  • Have completed shadow sessions with experienced permit approvers.
    OSHA 10 certification within 60 days of hiring.

Tuesday- Saturday 11am- 7pm

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years
