Sodexo is seeking a Operations Manager 1, Multi-Service for Queen's Medical / Kahi Mohala Behavioral Health located in Oahu, HI. This small facility offers child and adolescent mental health services and is located on 14.5 acres on the west side of 'Oahu. The Operations Manager will have direct oversight of Food Services and Environmental Services at this location and will report to the respective General Managers of Food Services and Environmental Services at nearby Queen's Medical Center-West Oahu

The successful candidate will:

  • have oversight of day-to-day operations of Food Services and Environmental Services;
  • provide a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff and works closely with the Infectious Control department;
  • successfully coordinate all required tasks through frontline staff;
  • deliver high quality food services including retail, catering and patient meal management operations;
  • achieve company and client financial targets and goals;
  • develop and maintain client and customer relationships
  • develop strategic plans;
  • ensure HACCP, regulatory and standards compliance;
  • have daily interaction with patients, their families and clinical team to ensure patient satisfaction;

  • have a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively;
  • have experience leading and managing a team and is a leader who develops and motivates a team to exceed the expectations of clients and customers in service and the technical execution of a healthcare housekeeping systems;
  • have culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;
  • can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
  • are enthusiastic and confident;
  • ability to drive employee success to enhance the value of the food and nutrition team; I
  • prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and/or
  • demonstrate working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management System (FMS) The Market Connection (TMC), Sodexo Menu Graphics (SMG), Catetrax and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience. This does not apply to external candidates.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 3 years

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in facilities (e.g., maintenance, plant operations, engineering services, grounds, custodial/environmental, or transportation) or food (e.g., food services or operations, concessions, retail sales, store operations, or vending) services
