Sodexo is seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian for a full-time outpatient endocrinology/diabetes educator position at Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY. This RD will provide nutrition care to patients with diabetes, while also providing support to our bariatric outpatient program.

Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the successful candidate will:
- provide one-on-one nutritional counseling to adult patients;
- collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members/departments to provide medical nutrition therapy;
- participate in quality improvement projects within the department;
- perform quality improvement initiatives related to patient care & be outcome focused; and
- act as a mentor to interns and new dietitians, as needed.

- Registered Dietitian credentials and CDN in NY;
- CDCES preferred, or willing to obtain;
- experience providing outpatient medical nutrition therapy;
- excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with clients and interdisciplinary team members at all levels;
- the proven ability to engage, motivate and influence others regarding their nutrition; and
- a commitment to continued education in the nutrition field and implementation of new and innovative ideas.

Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement:
Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:
Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
Credentials Requirement:
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
Basic Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision
