Patient Food Service Manager
Job Description
Sodexo is seeking a Food Service Manager - Patient Services at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. This food service leader will supervise the evening patient feeding operations at this 600+ bed teaching hospital. This food service manager will lead, mentor and develop a team of frontline staff and supervisors and will work closely with nurses and patients to ensure we are meeting and exceeding expectations.
The salary range is competitive and based on experience with a full benefits package that kicks in immediately. At Nebraska Medicine, this position will also receive perks such as free parking, daily meal stipend, and free gym access!
Schedule is primarily Monday-Friday / 11am-8pm with rotating weekends every 1-2 months.
The successful candidate will:
- lead the evening operations of patient room service dining program
- supervise and train frontline team and supervisors
- coordinate department safety and sanitation
- engage with employees and promote an inclusive culture
- engage in rounding with patients and nurses to promote and improve patient satisfaction
We are looking for candidates who have:
- supervisory or management experience in the food service industry (restaurants, quick-service, hospitality, contract services, etc.)
- natural ability to foster engagement and provide exceptional customer service
- proven background managing multiple priorities
- demonstrate professional communication skills
- have a passion for a high level of customer service

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
