Location: We are seeking a Premium Host at T-Mobile Park, home of the Seattle Mariners.

Job Type: Part-time Seasonal

*This position follows the Seattle Mariners' home-game schedule from March through September. Work from October to February is not guaranteed and is based on business needs and union seniority.

Union Status: Union

*This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement with UNITEHERE Local 8. 

Work Location: In person

Pay: $23.75-$26.59 per hour

Principle Function:

The Hosts/Hostess will serve an important role in establishing a pleasant dining experience for guests of Sodexo Live!'s free standing or in-venue restaurants. They will support and work as a partner to restaurant servers, by constantly monitoring, guiding and controlling the flow of guests into the dining room, based on timing and level business, so that they are seated in a manner that complements each server's ability to properly attend to them.

The Host/Hostess will schedule reservations, assign guests to tables suitable for the size of each group, escort them to their seats and provide them with menus. The Host/Hostess will inspect dining and serving areas to ensure proper setup and cleanliness and may assist customers in answering questions and inquiries and in planning special events such as parties and banquets. They may further assist by handling monetary transactions, and are responsible for maintaining Sodexo Live!'s standards for guest service, cleanliness and sanitation at all times.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Serve as the 'face' of the restaurant and first point of contact for arriving guests to make a positive initial impression.
• Execute proper dining room management to support servers in delivering an efficient and timely dining experience for every guest.
• Maintain a neat, clean and sanitary guest environment to that provides the best impression to the guest.
• Contribute to goal of 100% customer satisfaction through personal commitment to teamwork and customer service.

Qualifications/Skills:

• Experience working in an upscale or premium food service environment.
• Strong customer service skills, including the ability to satisfy guest needs and de-escalate frustrated customers.
• Ability to promote and contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment.
• Ability to work independently and perform effectively in a high‑stress, fast‑paced setting.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) commonly used by guests at the work location.
• TIPS or TEAM certification, or equivalent, preferred.

Other requirements include but are not limited to:

• Subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds in weight.

Hours are often extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
