Sodexo is seeking a Full Time Dietitian Nutritionist I -HC to join a dynamic team at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, GA, who is looking to develop clinical skills in Nutrition Support and Critical Care. Doctors Hospital is a 354-bed acute care facility with a Level 2 Trauma designation and home to the largest burn unit in the United States, with plans for growth in both of these exciting areas of nutrition practice.

Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the ideal candidate will:

  • Be a Registered Dietitian with 0-3 years experience
  • Primarily will cover adult acute care inpatients (80% Med/Surg, Renal, Ortho, Rehab) but will cross-train to provide coverage to critical care and pediatrics, as are all the dietitians
  • Work rotating weekends, providing hospital wide coverage
  • Be familiar with the Nutrition Care Process.
  • Have experience with electronic health records.
  • Have an interest in nutrition support.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and excellent customer service skills.
  • Be able to take initiative and to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Assist the clinical nutrition team with performance improvement projects and assignments as needed.

  • Have a track record of proactive interaction with the medical team
  • Registered Dietitian credentials and be licensed in GA (required prior to starting in this role)

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:
Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:
Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

Credentials Requirement:
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
