Sodexo is seeking a Retail Manager 2 for Graceland University located in Lamoni, IA. Graceland is a beautiful, historic campus that was founded in 1895 and sits amid the rolling countryside of Southern Iowa. Sodexo manages all the food services on campus with approximately 45 employees. Graceland Dining has 2 Retail concepts, 1 Main Dining Hall and high end Catering services.

Successful candidate will oversee our new Swarm Inn located inside the Newcom Student Union. Here you will manage a Grilled Concept where students can get gourmet burgers and fries plus traditional favorites. Our second concept is SubHub, where students can get hot or cold made-to-order sandwiches for a healthier on-the-go option.

The successful candidate will:

• lead frontline teams, mentoring them in accurate cash handling, operations, open and closing processes; and/or
• train and manage department HACCP Safety Programs, Sodexo programs and daily operation standards.

Responsible for food quality & customer service in an operation that may have branded concepts or other retail offerings. Directs the work of hourly & supervisory food service workers.
Key Duties
- Ensures there is a zero harm mindset for ourselves, our customers, our food & employees.
- Directs daily operations of food quality & customer service in a retail food operation that may include branded concepts ensuring that employees have appropriate equipment, supplies and resources.
- Manages cash handling protocols & control procedures according to Sodexo policies.
- Maintains client satisfaction for food quality & customer service.
- Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaining the highest level of delivery.
- Supervises day-to-day work activities of food service workers.

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or Equivalent
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
