Safety & Sanitation Specialist Position Hardrock Stadium
Job Description
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversight of Food Safety Protocols: Supervise and ensure the implementation of rigorous food safety and sanitation procedures within retail food service establishments.
- Routine Inspections: Conduct regular inspections at food service locations to evaluate compliance with SSOP (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures) and adhere to state and local regulations.
- Report Generation and Recommendations: Prepare detailed written reports based on inspections and recommend necessary corrective actions to maintain optimal food safety standards.
- Staff Education and Training: Educate supervisors and staff members during routine visits, emphasizing food safety protocols, internal policies, and operational procedures to ensure thorough compliance.
- Investigations and Compliance Oversight: Conduct thorough investigations into reported matters related to product quality, food service operation compliance, and relevant categories, ensuring adherence to established standards.
- Leadership in Food Safety Training: Lead comprehensive food safety training sessions and discussions with operators and partners to enhance understanding and adherence to safety protocols.
- Establishment of Strategic Alliances: Establish, foster, and sustain partnerships with regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders to uphold and advance safety standards.
- Recommendation and Implementation of Corrective Actions: Provide expert guidance and recommend corrective measures whenever required to maintain and enhance safety standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Educational Background: Possess Food Safety Management Certification, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
- Experience: Minimum of two years of proven expertise in food safety practices. Knowledge in retail food service operations is a distinct advantage. Knowledge in food safety (Retail Food Code) is required
- Proficiency: Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook for documentation and communication purposes.
- Exceptional Communication: Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, especially during high-pressure or crisis situations, ensuring clear and effective dialogue.
Physical Requirements:
- Capability to lift up to 15 pounds intermittently.
- Proficiency in walking for inspection purposes.
