Sodexo Energy & Resources is seeking a qualified Unit Safety Specialist to drive a safety culture for an Oil & Gas client in Bartlesville, OK. This position is responsible for supporting safety management and compliance and ensuring legal compliance with all Federal (Provincial), State, and Local regulations.

The primary purpose of this role is to support HS&E compliance onsite and drive the safety culture of the organization. The ideal candidate has experience supporting safety management within an oil & gas environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • This will require knowledge of site-specific and OSHA requirements.
  • Train and educate employees, as necessary and required, on HS&E topics.
  • Support Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental audits.
  • Review of unit-specific policies and procedures for controlling occupational health, safety, and environmental hazards that come under Federal, State, and local regulations (e.g., Control of Hazardous Energy; Permit Required Confined Space Identification and Entry, Asbestos, Lead, Right to Know (GHS), Fall Prevention, Slips/Trips/Falls, Storm Water, etc.).
  • Work with HSE leadership to measure the effectiveness of HS&E strategies and programs in a fact-based and objective manner.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to staff regarding safety matters.
  • Provide full support and take direction, as required, by Senior HS&E Manager.
  • Provide safety management/accident prevention assistance to all applicable Client units.
  • Produce HS&E progress reports as required to meet the HS&E objectives of the division.
  • Track accident cause and injury type trends and facilitate remedial action(s).Communicate HS&E information to key management as directed.
  • Other duties include training staff, overseeing work, thorough reporting, and safety communications.

Hours: 1ST shift 8am-5pm. Monday-Friday.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
