Sodexo is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Construction Management to support the University Hospitals Healthcare System located in Cleveland, OH and the greater northeast Ohio region.
As the Senior Manager of Construction, you will combine your proven leadership and construction management technical expertise to enhance existing (or new) client programs including short- and long-range planning, construction/renovation projects, preventative and corrective maintenance, and energy management services in a healthcare environment. You will maintain close relationships with key client stakeholders, demonstrate senior leadership experience, and oversee a portfolio of design and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide program and project leadership coordinate healthcare construction projects, including the development of new medical facilities, as well as additions or renovations of existing facilities.
- Manage the development of project delivery strategies, including engagement of design professionals, coordination of design development, construction RFQ/RFP's, contract administration, construction, coordination of Owner-furnished equipment, activation, and close-out
- Become a trusted advisor to our clients, demonstrating the ability to plan ahead and anticipate projects’ needs in order to complete projects on time and on budget
- Regularly monitor client satisfaction levels, consider feedback carefully, and coordinate appropriate action to ensure that clients are supported and well informed to ensure that the project deliveries are on schedule.
- Consistent with the project delivery strategies, manage RFP/RFQ processes for required teams of consultants and contractors. Negotiate contracts with each team member. Interface with architects, client stakeholders, facility managers, contractors, and vendors.
- Provide supervision, leadership, mentoring, technical guidance, and coaching to project teams. Counsel and support employees on career development.
- Manage adherence to departmental financial plans and budgets. Ensure allocation of proper resources to preserve account financials. Provide accurate forecasts for capital projects.
- Develop best-practice programs, policies, and procedures for efficient project delivery and profitable operations.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
- 5+ years of client-facing project management experience required
- 5+ years of construction management / Owner representation, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Preferred: ASHE Healthcare Certification
- Knowledge of and competency in project management processes, including planning, time management, financial management, quality management, risk management, monitoring, reporting, documenting, and record keeping
- Proven ability to manage internal and external client expectations consistent with effective project delivery.
- Strong multi-tasking skills. Able to prioritize job requirements and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Highly organized, self-directed business style with a strong ability to prioritize
- Flexible and adaptable with demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines

What You Bring
- plant operations and maintenance management experience in a healthcare environment;
- experience with the Join Commission, Environment of Care (EOC), OSHA and Life Safety requirements;
- strong technical knowledge of the following: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural, fire protection, safety systems, civil, low voltage, demolition, architectural and energy management;
- business and financial acumen with a strong P&L understanding;
- excellent customer service and communication skills;
- staff development and team building experience;
- Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager (CHFM) is a plus; and
- a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related fields preferred.
