Sodexo Senior Living is seeking an Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager to join our team of professionals at Villa Marin in San Rafael, CA. Villa Marin is a premier Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in San Rafael, that offers age 60+ residents an active and vibrant lifestyle. The community is located on a picturesque verdant campus, where residents enjoy a host of educational, cultural and wellness activities, along with a strong sense of friendships with fellow residents. The ideal candidate will be hands-on as needed, have excellent interpersonal skills, enjoy working with seniors, and managing and developing their team. Best qualified candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills.
The successful candidate will:
- be responsible for purchasing, menu/recipe compliance, inventory, food production forecasting, hands-on cooking;
- supervision of prep, stocking, station execution, safety and sanitation;
- ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented;
- have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations;
- ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance;
- have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems.
