Location: We are seeking a Suite Attendant at T-Mobile Park, home of the Seattle Mariners.
Job Type: Part-time Seasonal
*This position follows the Seattle Mariners' home-game schedule from March through September. Work from October to February is not guaranteed and is based on business needs and union seniority.
Union Status: Union
*This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement with UNITEHERE Local 8.
Work Location: In person
Pay: $21.30 per hour
Principle Function:
Luxury suites provide premium seating opportunities within sporting arenas and other such entertainment venues. Luxury suites are typically owned by individuals or corporations and usually include private dining/reception areas, theater-type seating, flat screen monitors, Internet access and other amenities not found in standard seating sections.
The Suite Attendant will establish a pleasant atmosphere for suite guests by ensuring that assigned suites are clean, orderly and well attended to, and that all food and beverage items are provided according to selected ala carte or buffet-style menus. The Suite Attendant will stock and set up the suite prior to guests' arrival, and will provide the highest levels of service and personal attention throughout the game or event.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding service to all customers in Suite seating areas where in-seat service is made available.
- Contribute to Sodexo Live!'s goal of 100% guest satisfaction through teamwork and personal commitment.
- Ensure that policies and procedures for processing customer sales transactions are adhered to.
- Ensure that quality and safety standards are maintained.
Qualifications/Skills:
- TIPS or TEAM trained or equivalent.
- Age 21 or older.
- Basic knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits and familiarity with standard drink recipes.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and effectively implement written and verbal instructions.
- Strong team orientation and ability to work with a variety of departments to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Ability to count and accurately make change involving large sums of money.
- Ability to use calculator, bill counters, and coin counters.
- Ability to work well independently.
- Ability to work well in a high stress, fast paced environment.
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations, to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used by guests who typically visit the work location.
- Technology aptitude for working with POS and digital register.
- Strong skills for persuasive sales, with keen ability to connect easily with customers.
- Scheduling flexibility to meet operational needs.
Other requirements include but are not limited to:
- Subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds in weight.
Hours are often extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
