Sodexo is hiring a Training Manager for the Sharp Healthcare system to lead Sodexo's Technical Training program at various Sharp locations. The Training Manager will travel between hospitals in Southern California and outside the state of California to lead the training program. The Training Manager will drive engagement of Sodexo employees through effective technical and managerial orientation and training. This individual will demonstrate effective leadership development, coordinate and present proprietary training and engagement programs and assess all trainees’ developmental needs to drive initiatives.

The successful candidate for this role will:

  • Onboard new employees
  • Evaluate the patient experience program to improve patient satisfaction scores
  • Facilitate courses and workshops to increase awareness and grow the skills of others
  • Assist in the development of training strategy
  • Identify and implement new ideas, technologies, or processes to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, cost-savings, and improved patient satisfaction scores
  • Develop learning strategies and plans with business unit leaders based upon deficiencies identified in a needs assessment

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience coordinating and conducting training sessions for small and large groups
  • Excellent presentation skills, communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and SharePoint
  • The ability to engage large and small audiences in training opportunities
  • Strong organization, communication and project management skills
  • The ability to analyze and interpret data

Position Summary

The Training Manager provides guidance and direction for the execution and facilitation of a variety of training programs (basic to complex) for site specific, district and regional employees. Provides direct and indirect support and training to employee development for current and future internal opportunities. May have limited human resource functions within area of responsibility.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 3 years
Basic Functional Experience - 3 years in training
