Sodexo is seeking a Vice President Facilities Operations to lead the operations for a growing progressive biopharmaceutical life sciences client located in Foster City, California. The role will be based out of the client site in Foster City, California and will be responsible for managing a budget of ~ $25 M to $30 M with a scope of ~ 5 locations. Some travel is needed. The client sites are a combination of office, R&D, and manufacturing. The Vice President Facilities Operations will report into the Senior Vice President – Life Science.

This visionary leader will set the strategic direction by managing our client offerings by creating partnerships that result in a rewarding experience and support and inspire the account team.


What You'll Do
  • Develop exceptional client relations & ensure the facilities product offerings / solutions align with client needs.
  • Drive solutions that optimize the current facilities portfolio.
  • Build and foster relationships across Sodexo internally to ensure additional market growth & promotion of comprehensive solution offerings to clients.
  • Collaborate with management team, inspiring strategic direction and enthusiastically supporting the succession planning and development of team.
  • Ensure the organization’s brand reputation and ensure the fulfillment of all contract commitments; sustain client satisfaction and retention; and maintain strong employee relations.

What You Bring
  • A proven track record of successful Facilities Management leadership experience with IFM service model – hard and soft delivery scope in the Pharma / Life Sciences industry.
  • Demonstrated business and financial acumen with a strong P&L understanding.
  • Experience managing multiple locations or business segments.
  • Proven ability to direct other leaders in a high-volume business.
  • Passion for putting the end user at the heart of everything we do and create a user experience to enable productivity and engagement in the client strategy to drive solutions and optimize the business portfolio.
  • Appetite to drive transformation in our quality-of-life proposition for our clients and articulate about workplace effectiveness, agile working, facilities management strategy and collaborative working.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience- 10 years

Minimum Functional Experience- 10 years in facilities management, engineering, management of business/operations service in both soft and hard facilities services
