Location: We are seeking a Walk Off Market Cook at T-Mobile Park, home of the Seattle Mariners.


Job Type: Part-time Seasonal

*This position follows the Seattle Mariners' home-game schedule from March through September. Work from October to February is not guaranteed and is based on business needs and union seniority.

Union Status: Union

*This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement with UNITEHERE Local 8. 

Work Location: In person

Pay: $33.13

*Rate of pay depends on assigned work location


Principle Function:

The Walk Off Market Cook perform responsibilities for food preparation. This includes ensuring food safety and maintain a sanitized and hygienic environment. The role contributes to Sodexo Live!'s operational and financial success by following all Sodexo Live! culinary standards for sanitation and preparation, and by guiding other Culinary staff members to ensure that food product is of the highest quality in taste and appearance, to satisfy guest expectations and to maximize revenues.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and coordinate orders to ensure they are cooked in a timely, accurate, consistent and quality manner with ample supply available for service at all times.
  • Comply with all established health, sanitation and safety procedures.
  • Contribute to goal of 100% customer satisfaction through personal commitment to teamwork and service.
  • Implement, support, and always maintain standards for workplace safety.
  • Food is prepared and presented in a consistent, efficient, and appetizing manner: All Sodexo Live! standards for food quality are met; Guests receive an E3 experience; Area of responsibility runs smoothly. Accidents/Incidents are minimized; Loss is mitigated; Quest Standards are achieved for all food safety and sanitation measurements. Profitability is maximized.

 

Qualifications/Skills:

  • 6 months in a previous role as a prep/line/grill cook
  • Must be able to interact verbally and listen attentively to co-workers and supervisors.
  • Ability to follow written and oral direction.
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently.
  • Food Handler's Card and MAST required

Other Requirements:

  • Able to work effectively and safely while subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise;
  • must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight;
  • must be able to maneuver in an often tightly-quartered environment.

Hours are often extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
