We are currently seeking a Workplace Design Lead to join our team located in Rahway, NJ. This position is on a client account within the pharmaceutical industry. This position is responsible for delivery of a workplace environment for Client employees, contractors and visitors that is customer focused, enables productivity, reflects the Client’s culture and operates with efficiency.

This is an onsite position with occasional travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Occupancy Planning and Move Management team and CAD Lead to drive the development of occupancy plans and sequencing of group-level and individual moves as well as facilitate and/or resolve planning issues identified with Client.
  • You are a Subject Matter Expert in the client's workplace needs and culture and the use of occupancy data analytics to drive solutions to optimize the portfolio in alignment with the client's mission
  • Foster strong relationship with Client to ensure alignment with Client culture and strategy.
  • Translate client's business requirements and successfully deliver occupancy plans that mirror industry best practices
  • Oversee workplace design projects, ensuring they meet functional and aesthetic needs in liaison between the client and Sodexo OPMM and CAD teams.
  • Excellent communicator capable of delivering effective change management prior to, during and after a project process
  • Ensure playbooks for OPMM and CAD are maintained, reviewed and updated as needed.
  • Implement a continuous improvement program for project delivery
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, problem solve and manage your time to meet deadlines
  • Possess a proactive mindset and contribute as a member of the Sodexo leadership team.
  • Flexibility with work hours and travel as needed

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 3 years prior management experience
  • Three or more years of planning experience with demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects, numerous deadlines, and conflicting priorities
  • Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD or other drafting technologies preferred.
  • Knowledge of construction, architecture, and commercial real estate industries
  • Familiarity with architectural drawings; furniture, fixtures, and equipment; design and space planning concepts; construction costs and schedules.
  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft Project, Adobe Acrobat, and Smartsheets.
  • Previous experience in Pharmaceutical or higher education planning a plus.

Basic Management Experience - 5 years
Basic Management Experience - 5 years supervisory experience in construction or engineering related field
